After a busy week of posters, teaser images, and a trailer for a trailer, the first full-length trailer for Disney's Big Hero 6 is here. Based on the lesser-known Marvel Comics team, Big Hero 6 is the first comics-to-animation feature adaption Disney has done since acquiring Marvel several years ago. Take a look:
Scheduled for release on November 7, Big Hero 6 follows a teen tech prodigy named Hiro Hamada as he builds a superhero android, Baymax, and goes about becoming a superhero by joining with others to fight a major crime in their fictional city of San Fransokyo. It's based on a superhero team of the same name created in comics by Steven T. Seagle and Duncan Rouleau in 1998 as part of their run on Alpha Flight.
Here is the official full boilerplate for the film:
With all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios, “Big Hero 6” is an action-packed comedy-adventure about robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who learns to harness his genius—thanks to his brilliant brother Tadashi and their like-minded friends: adrenaline junkie Go Go Tamago, neatnik Wasabi, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred. When a devastating turn of events catapults them into the midst of a dangerous plot unfolding in the streets of San Fransokyo, Hiro turns to his closest companion—a robot named Baymax—and transforms the group into a band of high-tech heroes determined to solve the mystery.
