If you don't love this corps, you're out of luck, as they're going to tether themselves to you from across the expanses of space and shine brightly to conquer all. Yes, it's the Violet Lanterns of Love, much better known as the Star Sapphires!

As announced in January, Wizkids is introducing DC HeroClix: War of Light, a six-month storyline Organized Play program starting in June 2014. See Wizkids site for more on the OP program, or click here for a HeroClix store locator to find participating stores near you!

The last of the main Corps of the emotional spectrum, the Star Sapphires have a complicated history - after all, Star Sapphire started out harnessing the violet light through a gem, and she had no idea it was connected to the emotional spectrum. She was also one of Hal Jordan's greatest enemies - oh, and also his girlfriend, Carol Ferris.

Yes, the Star Sapphires, once revealed as a proper Lantern Corps, have mostly come down on the side of the Green Lanterns, but it's clear that they serve their own agenda, and will protect love at all costs. Made up almost entirely of women, the Star Sapphires have some unique abilities, like being able to teleport anywhere in the universe, as long as they're tethered to (and traveling to) someone they love, and the ability to put someone in a sort of love crystal coccoon where they are inundated with feelings of love.

Interestingly, their entity is called "Predator," but that's really a story for another day. Check out the group shot up top, the power battery to your right, and the ring below, and stay tuned for Friday when we'll have five individual members (and yes, that is Guy Gardner looking fetching in Purple in that group shot - more on that Friday).
