According to EW.com, Stephen King’s The Dark Tower returns to comics in September, in a new five-issue Marvel series that moves away from telling stories about Roland the last of the Gunslingers, and instead focuses on Eddie Dean, a character introduced in King’s second Dark Tower book.
The Dark Tower: The Drawing of the Three–The Prisoner will presumably be written by Robin Furth and Peter David (EW doesn’t confirm outright) and will by drawn by artist Piotr Kowalski.
It’s described as departure from the post-apocalyptic Western setting of the previous comic books.
Via EW, here’s a first look at interior art. Expect more information this weekend from C2E2.
