The first official image from Gotham, coming this fall to Fox, is not of the young Bruce Wayne or even the star, Detective James Gordon. Instead, it’s of Donal Logue as Detective Harvey Bullock.

The pictures is staged similarly to Warner Bros. TV’s first promo photo for Constantine. This one has Logue with his badge on his belt, looking down with Gotham City behind him. While it doesn’t have a Bat symbol in it, an evocative searchlight is seen over the cityscape.

The official content in the press release gives us a new look at how these characters will interact on the show.

Gotham is a crime drama that explores the origin stories of eventual Police Commissioner James Gordon (Ben McKenzie – Southland) and the rogues’ gallery of villains that made the city infamous. Jim Gordon’s partner and mentor, the rough-around-the-edges Detective Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue – Sons of Anarchy, Vikings, Copper) plays loose with police procedure, but gets results — and he does so with old-school, hard-ass panache.”

WBTV promises a second character reveal on Friday March 21st. Stay tuned.
