Despite being outmuscled by Gravity is both total domestic box office receipts ($269m to $206m) and Oscar wins (obviously) Thor: The Dark World still managed to defeat the Alfonso Cuaron-directed epic on the home video charts during their respective debut weeks. According to Variety, The Dark World debuted #1 on both the Nielsen VideoScan First Alert chart, which tracks overall Blu-ray and DVD sales, and Nielsen’s dedicated Blu-ray chart.

Gravity reportedly sold 57% as many copies as Thor, and curiously, despite the epic visual nature of the film, Thor actually generated a higher percentage of Blu-ray disc sales, with 59% of copies sold for The Dark World being the superior format, compared to 52% for Gravity.

New AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Featurette Focuses on Gwen & Peter Romance

Preview scenes from the May 2 film along with interviews with stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, director Marc Webb, and producer Stan Lee (among others) highlight a new featurette playing up the relationship-romance of Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy. Not a bad strategy considering the supervillain-filled /action heavy promotion that's dominated the early marketing for the sequel.

Of course, playing up their relationship may be incredibly cruel all things considered , but that remains to be seen. Check out the video, courtesy of the Daily Mail, right here:

The sequel to 2005’s Sin City, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For continues the world of Frank Miller’s popular comic book series, with the creator teaming once again with Robert Rodriguez to direct. And the first trailer will debut at 8pm ET tonight, Thursday March 6.

Much of the film's story comes from the second volume of the comic book series, which bares the same name, though two brand-new stories are also in the film, coming from Miller. Stars Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Jaime King, Mickey Rourke, and Bruce Willis all return from the first film, while Eva Green, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Josh Brolin all make their debut in the series. Jamie Chung (seen in the teaser image) also takes over from Devon Aoki as Miho.

The sequel is set to release August 22, 2014.
