Captain America: The Winter Soldier is getting a tie-in game, but don't go firing up the consoles - this one is for mobile only.
After an attempt at movie tie-in games for the first Thor, Cap, and Iron Man movies was less than successful and the contract expired, Marvel has opted instead to go the mobile route. Teamed up with mobile developer Gameloft, who also made the Thor: The Dark World tie-in, Marvel Entertainment announced Captain America: The Winter Soldier for iOS and Android in late March 2014, with a Windows mobile version coming later.
The game will see players controlling Captain America, naturally, but will also feature "team based combat" with S.H.I.E.L.D. agents who follow you and lay down some supporting fire. The single-player mission is an all-new story built around similar themes and characters from the movie. There will also be multiplayer modes in the game. No pricing structure was laid out in the announcement.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits theaters April 4, 2014.
