Report: AGENT CARTER Show Gets Whedon-Alum Showrunners

ABC and Marvel Studios may have found their show runners for the new Agent Carter series, if Deadline's sources are correct.

The Hollywood trade site reports that Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas will team as the writers and executive producers of Agent Carter, the full-length TV series featuring Peggy Carter as a secret agent in the post-World War II world after Captain America (her boyfriend) went down with the literal ship in the arctic.

The writer/producer pair have an "overall" deal with ABC, and are also serving as show runners on Resurrection, a new drama on the network.

Marvel and ABC have not confirmed the duo's appointment, and Haley Atwell, who played the character in the film and the "Marvel One-Shot" hasn't been confirmed by the studios either, but is heavily rumored/reported to have accepted the role once more. The pair have a roundabout tie to the MCU already - they both worked on Dollhouse with Joss Whedon.
