Guess Who's a New RED LANTERN As Title Smashes with GREEN LANTERN for February Flipbook
CREDIT: DC Comics
Does this make it the New 51 for a month?
This February for one month only Green Lantern #28 and Red Lanterns #28 will smash-up in a special post-"Lights Out" flipbook addition of both titles. The book is designed to get both issues "in as many readers' hands as possible," according to Green Lantern writer Robert Venditti, who adds the special book is being created because "DC believes in the story so much."
"This is one piece, but a very significant piece, of the aftermath of 'Lights Out'," says the writer. "It's going to impact not just the Lantern titles, but the entire DC Universe."
"This project is total comics fun, too," addd Red Lantern writer Charles Soule. "I mean, any time you get Reds and Greens in the same place sparks are going to fly, and here you get them literally in the same issue. It is literally impossible not to read."
The flipbook will sell to readers at $2.99, so readers of either individual title will get the addition title for free. Readers of both titles can pocket the difference.
As to that surprising new Red Lantern - neither DC nor the writers were commenting yet, so we'll just leave it to the official solicitation copy of the issue for now:
