X-Men: Days of Future Past may not come out until next year, but Fox seems to like what the have on their hands … or the screenplay anyway.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Days of Future Past writer/producer Simon Kinberg has been pegged to write the studio’s Fantastic Four reboot, for which he’ll also be credited as a producer.
Chronicle’s Josh Trank is still attached to direct.
Kinberg is the latest in a small army of writers who have tried their hand at the project. THR reports Jeremy Slater, Michael Green, Seth Grahame-Smith, and T.S. Nowlin have all worked on versions and according to their sources Kinberg may be “overhauling the script substantially.”
Fantastic Four is currently scheduled for a March 6, 2015 release.
