Fresh off the Adam West/Knightfall PlayStation exclusivity news are the details of Batman: Arkham Origins’ Season Pass that will offer more skins than Victor Zsasz’s bedroom closet including two exclusive to this promotion, a prequel to the prequel challenge map set and an unrevealed extension to the core game’s story.
Two of the future downloadable content packs that can be preordered via the Season Pass offer a combined total of twelve new skins including First Appearance (Detective Comics #27) Batman, Red Son Batman and New 52 Earth 2 Batman (previously mistaken for Flashpoint), plus two skins for Robin that are likely for the game’s multiplayer mode.
Exclusive to the Season Pass are two unique skins, the steampunk influenced Gotham by Gaslight Batman from the seminal Elseworlds story where the Batman mythos takes place in a late 19th Century setting, and the strikingly stark-white Brightest Day Batman where the Batsuit’s look is influenced by the power of the White Lantern.
Another piece of DLC pre-orderable via the Season Pass is the Initiation challenge map set. Here you will play as Bruce Wayne trying to prove to himself and his martial arts master that he has the skills he’ll need to be Batman. Finally the Season Pass promises access to as yet unannounced chapter in the Batman: Arkham Origins story, perhaps akin to Harley Quinn’s Revenge.
The Batman: Arkham Origins Season Pass will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC at the game’s launch for $19.99.
