Over the past few months we’ve had hints and teases about the formation (or at least the hint of such) of the Sinister Six in next year’s Amazing Spider-Man 2 from the film's actors and even the director Marc Webb himself, but Friday we learned from none other than Electro himself, Jamie Foxx, that the team of Spider-Man rogues is indeed on the radar of the film's producers.
“Yes, they actually talked about it: the Sinister Six,” Foxx said in an interview with Total Film while promoting the home video release of White House Down. “So, fingers crossed, because when you think about it, electricity never dies… it just goes to a different place.
In addition to that tidbit, Foxx’s White House Down co-star Channing Tatum mentioned that he’d like to join his co-star in the superhero film world, but in the role of the X-Men character Gambit. Despite Tatum’s action star creds, he has yet to play a superhero on film; the closest he’s come is voicing Superman in 2014’s The Lego Movie.
