Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara called Ben Affleck a “perfect” choice for the next film Batman, and touted “a lot” of upcoming announcements regarding DC Comics-related video games, consumer products, television and film projects, according to the Hollywood Reporter and Variety.
Tsujihara reportedly made the comments at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch 2013 Media, Communications & Entertainment Conference in Beverly Hills Thursday.
“Tired and weary and seasoned and been doing it for awhile” is how the CEO described Affleck’s Batman in the 2015 Superman/Batman untitled Man of Steel sequel.
"Ben is perfect for the vision Zack has for that character. The fact that you saw such a passionate response in the blogosphere is really kind of a testament to the love that people have for this character," he said. “We think it’s going to be huge.”
"DC really does touch a lot of parts of our business and is an important part of the strategy in how we're going to grow going forward," Tsujihara reportedly added.
