Marvel Comics is showing off a few interior pages from Guardians of the Galaxy #5, the full-on debut of Angela in the Marvel Universe after her brief appearance at the end of Age of Ultron #10.
Marvel has recently changed the solicitation copy for the issue, officially naming Brian Bendis as the issue's sole writer and Angela co-creator Neil Gaiman as a consultant, whereas the were originally solicited as co-writers.
Marvel has also gotten original Angela publisher/co-creator Todd McFarlane to endorse Angela's move to the Marvel Universe.
“Good stories and good characters are the backbone to our comic book industry,” McFarlane is quoted as saying in a new Marvel press release. “I believe the Angela character can be one of those characters. Neil Gaiman has proven himself to be a much sought after author and I am sure he will bring some of his ‘magic’ to this character, whether it be as the actual writer himself or through his ‘Gaiman guidance;’ readers should be in for quite a ride.”
Guardians of the Galaxy #5 goes on sale July 31st.
