Unsurprisingly, Friday at Comic-Con International in San Diego looks packed, including the inaugural convention appearance of Marvel's live-action TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (debuting this fall on ABC), an Amazing Spider-Man 2 appearance as part of Sony's Hall H panel, the frequently newsworthy convention staple Cup O' Joe panel (headed by Marvel chief creative officer, Joe Quesada), the debut of new DC animated feature Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, Game of Thrones, Veronica Mars (both in Hall H, natch) and the annual Eisner Awards. There's even the Comic-Con debut of rock legends Metallica, promoting their Metallica Through the Never film at 6:30 p.m. in Hall H.

Carmine Infantino (May 24, 1925-April 4, 2013) was one of the most important men in the history of the comics industry.
