The "What's New in the New 52" column at DC's blog The Source continues to roll out new villains, with a pair of frightening females today.

First up (click the image up top for a full look at her) is Trickster. A warrior from Apokolips, this agent of Darkseid follows the young Batman and Superman from the New 52 world over to Earth 2 in Batman/Superman, with promise of her bringing "chaos and unpredictability." There's also a hint that she'll show up during Villains Month with a specific connection to the Apokoliptian warlord.

Meanwhile, The Anchoress (they had to run out of names sometime, folks) is being revealed as the first inmate of Arkham Asylum in Batman Annual #2. Here's Bob Harras's description of her.

"The Anchoress is a young woman whose years in Arkham have noticeably withered her away as she continues to add thousands upon thousands of tick marks upon the stones of her cell. There’s a delicate sense of fragility surrounding this character, making her seem as vulnerable as she is frightening. But what did she do to deem her Arkham’s very first prisoner?"

Look for both in July 2013 at DC.
