Though much of the characters involved in Marvel Studios' Guardians of the Galaxy have yet to be revealed, one that's been reported for a while is The Walking Dead's Michael Rooker playing alien hunter Yondu.
Given the character's far-out comic book appearance, observers have wondered what it might look like for Rooker to make the transition — and it appears that Guardians writer/director James Gunn may have given fans at least a slight hint via Instagram, showing Rooker with a mohawk hairdo that seems to be a likely nod to Yondu's distinctive head fin. (Though Gunn himself compared Rooker's haircut to a kewpie doll.) Of course, any relevance or resemblance this may end up having to Rooker's actual appearance in character remains to be seen.
Guardians of the Galaxy, with a cast including Rooker, Chris Pratt (Star-Lord), Zoe Saldana (Gamorra), Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer), Benicio del Toro, Glenn Close and more, is scheduled for release on Aug. 1, 2014.
Edit: As pointed out in our comments, Rooker has had this haircut since at least April 11, when he posted a photo of himself via Instagram with the caption "My new do." He was reported to be part of the Guardians of the Galaxy cast five days later.
