Dynamite First Look: THE SPIDER #1

Preview

Dynamite's previously announced The Spider series, from writer David Liss (Black Panther: The Most Dangerous Man Alive) and artist Colton Worley (Kato) has now been officially scheduled for May 2012.

The Spider debuted in 1933 as a hero of pulp magazines, with the secret identity of New York City millionaire Richard Wentworth. The character has also appeared in movie serials and prior comic books published by Eclipse and Moonstone.

"I've seen a lot of the art from Colton Worley, and I can tell you this is going to be a fantastic looking book, Liss told Newsarama in January. "I love the old pulp characters, and it was great getting a chance to take a crack at this."

Like many Dynamite releases, The Spider #1 has multiple covers by different artists, which follow. Seen here: The Spider #1 by John Cassaday.
