Author/screenwriter Seth Grahame-Smith has done “polish screenwriting work” on Fox’s big screen Fantastic Four reboot, reports The Hollywood Reporter Tuesday evening. Chronicle’s Josh Trank is still on board as director and X-Men: First Class and Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn has recently joined the production as a producer.
According to THR, Grahame-Smith’s polish of Jeremy Slater’s initial script will take a “grounded superhero and sci-fi approach to the heroes and will tap deep into the comics mythology.”
Grahame-Smith is the author of the bestselling Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which was adapted to the big screen by Fox last year. He also wrote the script for Dark Shadows, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp’s take-off of the 1970s gothic/vampire TV soap.Fox currently has Fantastic Four slated for March 6, 2015. Got a comment?
