It looks like Spidey is getting a slightly tweaked look in 2014's Amazing Spider-Man 2, with a new costume seen on Marvel.com.
Though it's not a full look at the outfit, it reveals bigger, rounder eyes — resembling the work of prolific Amazing Spider-Man and Ultimate Spider-Man artist Mark Bagley — and a modified chest spider from the suit in the 2012 original; while also remaining distinct from the costume in Sam Raimi's trilogy of Spider-Man films.
The Amazing Spider-Man sequel is scheduled for release on May 2, 2014, with Andrew Garfield returning in the title role, along with Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy), Sally Field (Aunt May) and director Marc Webb. New to the franchise are Jamie Foxx (Electro), Dane DeHaan (Harry Osborn), Shailene Woodley (Mary Jane Watson) and Paul Giamatti, in a role that has been reported to be The Rhino.
