WALKING DEAD Named 'Deadliest Show' on TV

News that likely won't shock you: Funeral resource site funeralwise.com has named AMC's The Walking Dead the "deadliest show" on TV.

The results cite an average of 38 dead bodies per Walking Dead episode, which constitutes a 20 percent chunk of the 40 shows studied during the fall 2012 season. That's 12 more dead bodies per episode than the study's No. 2 show, Cinemax's Strike Back.

That's a total of 304 dead bodies in eight episodes tallied, but of course, the vast majority of them — the site says 91 percent — were zombies.

Another comic book-based show, The CW's , ranked No. 6 in the findings. In general, TV death looks to be on the rise, according to the study, which found a 12 percent increase of average dead-bodies-per-episode from last year. (Via The Hollywood Reporter.)
