DC Comics Announces Digital-First ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN


After the success of Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight, the digital-first anthology series from DC Comics, the publisher is letting the Man of Steel take a turn. Adventures of Superman, starting April 29, 2013, was announced today on IGN, following a near-identical format to Legends.

The first story is by Orson Scott Card and Aaron Johnston with art by Chris Sprouse and Karl Story. Following up is Jeff Parker and Chris Samnee. Others officially announced as contributing in the future are: Dan Abnett, Ed Benes, Mitch Breitweiser, Giuseppe Camuncoli, Nathan Edmondson, Joshua Hale Fialkov, Christos Gage, Marc Guggenheim, Justin Jordan, Matt Kindt, JT Krul, Max Landis, Andy Lanning, David Lapham, Jeff Lemire, Michael Avon Oeming, Riley Rossmo, Stephen Segovia, Bruce Timm, Marcus To, and Marv Wolfman. J.M. Dematteis announced on twitter that he's "working on one, too."

The series will run weekly on comiXology starting in April.
