When the silver-level Free Comic Book Day 2013 comics were announced yesterday, many may have glanced over the cover to Marvel's silver issue, Hulk: Agents of S.M.A.S.H. But the cover seems to reveal something new about the show in the form of a surprise cast member: Devil Dinosaur.

Devil Dinosaur, who recently appeared in a story in Avenging Spider-Man, is from a parallel Earth where Dinosaurs and missing-link style primates live in harmony. He is usually seen alongside one of these primates named Moon-Boy. A being of rage (not to mention large and red), Devil Dinosaur would certainly fit in alongside announced members Hulk, She-Hulk, Skaar, Red Hulk, and A-Bomb.

We asked Marvel if the cover of this comic could be construed as an announcement that the big red dinosaur would be in the animated series, and they had this to say:

“We can’t say anything right now—but you’ll get the answer when the series premieres in 2013!”

Not a yes, not a no, but it would seem pretty strange for a book, given out for free, apparently solely in support of a new animated series, to include a character on the cover who doesn't appear on the show, wouldn't it?
