Ahead of the DVD/Blu ray release of The Dark Knight Rises, the official facebook fan page for the film had a special surprise for those looking forward to the next big DC Comics film, Man of Steel.
This new official poster shows Superman being accompanied by four soldiers in a dark scene with a spotlight behind him. And of course, you'll notice that the titular Man of Steel is in handcuffs.
Now of course that might make you think "um, super strength, he can just bust out!" Of course he can, but perhaps there is a reason he chooses not to. Whether it's a demonstration of loyalty, a hope to find a way to stop the villain of the film Zod, or something else entirely, it's clear that Kal'el is in cuffs for a reason, and at his own behest.
Man of Steel is due in theaters June 14, 2013.
