Oh Image Comics, you so cray. After doing a send-up of Marvel's Avengersteasers about two and a half years ago for their Global Guardians spin-off from Invincible, this time the leading publisher of creator-owned comics is playing off Marvel's one-word teasers, as well as their penchant for the adjective "Uncanny."
This one's a joke that also goes beyond the punchline, of course, as Jim Zub and Edwin Huang are relaunching their series as Uncanny Skullkickers. They even proudly proclaim on the cover to the first issue, "We figured out what our series was missing: ADJECTIVES!"
Funny enough, the cover itself also parodies DC Comics, with it being a send-up of their recent "zero month" issues.
