Actor Frank Grillo will be playing Crossbones in 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Variety reports.
Crossbones played a major role in the "Death of Captain America" comic
book storyline (written by Ed Brubaker, who created the concept of "The Winter Soldier"), where he was instrumental in the assassination of Steve
Rogers. That storyline led to Bucky — The Winter Soldier — becoming
Captain America for an extended period, before Steve Rogers returned to
the role in 2011.
Grillo, who recently played roles in films including End of Watch and The Grey, joins a cast including Chris Evans (Captain America), Sebastian Stan (Bucky/Winter Soldier) and Anthony Mackie (The Falcon). Captain America: The Winter Soldier is scheduled for release on April 4, 2014.
SIN CITY 2 ADDS 2 JAMIES
Two more actors have been added to the Sin City 2 cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter: Jamie King, who played Goldie in the first film and is returning as her sister Wendy; and Jamie Chung, who is taking over the role of assassin Miho, played in the first film by Devon Aoki.
Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba and Rosario Dawson have each been confirmed as returning for the sequel to the 2005 adaptation of Frank Miller's crime noir series. Miller and Robert Rodriguez are both returning to direct.
