Both star Andrew Garfield and director Marc Webb are officially on board to return for an Amazing Spider-Man sequel, as first reported on Deadline."We could not be more confident in the direction we are taking this new Spider-Man storyline and we are tremendously excited to be ramping up production again with Marc at the helm and Andrew continuing on as Peter Parker," said Sony's Doug Belgrad in the post. Emma Stone, Amazing Spider-Man's Gwen Stacy, is "in talks" to return, according to the site. A release date for the sequel has already been set for May 2, 2014, and production is set to start in early 2013. This summer's Amazing Spider-Man has made $261.5 million domestically, and $751.7 worldwide, lower than previous three Spidey films, but considered a successful reboot. Got a comment?
