Nintendo Reveals WII U Launch Day Lineup

Nintendo of America this morning announced the full list of titles launching on November 18, 2012, alongside their new Wii U console. The console brings HD graphics, increased online capability, and a new tablet-like touch screen controller to the accessibility of the best-selling Wii console, with backwards compatibility to ensure your old toys work with your new one.

Twenty-three titles will be available the day the system comes out, with at least 29 others planned in the "launch window" which spans from launch day through the end of March, 2013. The games coming launch day are:

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Skylanders Giants, Transformers PRIME, Wipeout 3, Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, FIFA Soccer 13, TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2 Wii U Edition, New Super Mario Bros U, NINJA GAIDEN 3: Razor's Edge, Nintendo Land, SING PARTY, Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, WARRIORS OROCHI 3 Hyper, Darksiders II, Assassin's Creed III, ESPN SPorts Connection, Just Dance 4, Rabbids Land, Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2013, ZombiU, Scribblenauts Unlimited, Game Party Champions, Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition.

In addition to the launch day titles, nine games including Madden NFL 13, TANK! TANK! TANK!, and Trine 2: Director's Cut were announced as simply "November," along with the additional twenty between December and March, including high-profile titles like Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth, Mass Effect 3, and LEGO City: Undercover.

The WiiU is essentially sold out before even hitting the shelves, with pre-orders at specialty game stores like Gamestop long gone, and even Amazon being completely sold out (though some Amazon Shops associated stores are selling the console for increased prices and in bundles already). The Basic set comes in white at $300 with a GamePad controller, and the Deluxe edition retails for $350, comes in black, includes four times the storage capacity, and comes with Nintendo Land.
