MARVEL Relocating Closer to DISNEY

Marvel Studios that is.

Marvel Studios is moving to Glendale, CA from their current home of Manhattan Beach Studios Media Campus so they can be closer to parent company Disney, along with sister studio Marvel Animation Studios, reports Variety. The move will start soon and hopes to be completed by Spring 2013. Approximately 150 staffers will be moved to the new location.

The story also noted that Marvel Animation Studios is currently staffing up for "production on several new TV series." As a side note, Marvel's vacancy in Manhattan Beach Studios will be filled with Lightstorm Entertainment, James Cameron's production company, as he plans to film two sequels to Avatar at the campus.
